Preparation of presentation
For Oral presenter
- Please upload your presentation file by October 21 using the form to be provided.
- Make sure your PowerPoint presentation is compatible for Widescreen (16:9). Slides in ‘Standard’ size (4:3) will look distorted.
- Each presenter is allowed 15 minutes to present their material and respond to questions from the audience. Accordingly, we advise speakers to allocate 10 minutes to their presentations and 5 minutes to questions and answers, allowing for interaction with the audience.
For Poster presenter
- To save you the hassle of traveling with your large poster, ICSC offers a poster printing service free of charge.
- Please upload your poster file by October 21 using the form to be provided.
- Make sure your poster size is A0 (Portrait) and the only acceptable file format is PDF.
- If we do not receive your poster by that date, we will assume you are bringing your own poster.
- To support you in the design of your poster, we provide a poster template. Use of this template is optional. Using your own / your institution’s design is completely fine (and encouraged).
Poster pitches
Your poster will be included in the Poster Pitch sessions on either Day 1 (Nov. 6) or Day 2 (Nov. 7), as indicated in the program. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to briefly present your poster to all conference attendees in a plenary setting. You will have 60 seconds to summarize the key points of your poster and why attendees should visit it. The order of presentations will be based on the ID numbers. When it is your turn, a slide with your name and title will appear on the screen. Please note that no slides or visuals are allowed for your pitch. Please focus on the most interesting aspects of your poster. A timer will be displayed on the screen and the slide will automatically change to the next one when your 60 seconds is up. Please respect the time allotted and the presentations of other participants. Following the pitches, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the presenters during the lunch break. We encourage you to stay near your poster and address any questions or comments that attendees may have.
